I wanted to get your thoughts on whether $175 is a fair price for a used Greenworks GPW3000 pressure washer, which boasts 3000 PSI and 2 GPM. I've seen it being sold on FB Marketplace, and the seller mentioned that it has only been used a few times. Since I know some reviews suggest these models can fail unexpectedly, I thought I'd reach out here to gauge opinions on whether it's worth the money or if I'd be better off buying something new, potentially with a warranty. I understand that gas models are often better, but I'm specifically looking for something to use around the house, like washing my car, without bothering the neighbors at odd hours. The other alternative I'm considering is one of the smaller, newer electric models around 1800 PSI. Any advice or recommendations?

I totally get that. I'm usually pretty frugal too, but if the price is right and I can trust the seller, I might bite the bullet. It all comes down to how much you're willing to risk on a used item, especially since you also have the option to buy new, albeit at a lower PSI.
Everyone has different comfort levels when it comes to used equipment, but I personally wouldn't go for anything over $700-1000 unless it comes with a good reputation or I know the seller. If it’s a good deal and the machine looks to be in decent shape, it might be worth considering. Just keep in mind things like its age and complexity. If it's a simple electric washer that has had some care, it could work out well.
If you can still get spare parts for that model, it might be worth it! Just make sure you're aware of the availability, because that could make a big difference down the line.
