Is Adding High Storage in My Entryway a Smart Move?

I've got some tall ceilings at 9.18 feet (about 2.8 meters) in my entryway, and I'm considering installing storage all along the top. I'm curious if it's actually worth it. I'm thinking about things like off-season hats, gloves, and holiday decor, but sometimes I worry things will just get lost up there. Would this kind of storage enhance the look of the space since I only have one floor-to-ceiling wardrobe there? What do you all think?

I actually think this is a great idea! If you live in a colder area, you could store seasonal items like hats and gloves up there during the off-season. That way, you’re using the space without having to keep stuff you don’t need all the time up front. Plus, it can really help to keep your entryway tidy!

That's an interesting thought! But with my ceiling height, I'd probably need a ladder to switch out those items each season!
