I'm considering planting an Amethyst Falls Wisteria in a small planter area at the front of my house. My wife really wants a climbing vine, and while I know this variety is less aggressive than the Chinese wisteria, I'm still a bit anxious about its potential to harm our home and foundation. It's currently small enough that moving it wouldn't be a hassle. I'm also thinking about putting it in a pot to keep its roots contained and limit its growth. Any thoughts on this?

I get the hesitation with wisteria, but remember this is the native variety, which is much less aggressive than the Chinese kind. I had a tough time with that one too, but Amethyst Falls is really manageable.
I've got an Amethyst Falls on a trellis right by my house, and honestly, it hasn't been a problem at all. In fact, it even died back during a really cold winter and is just now recovering. So, I wouldn't stress too much about it being aggressive.

Totally agree! This one's way easier to handle compared to the other types.
