Is Bottom Watering with Liquid Fertilizer Effective?

I'm curious about the best way to fertilize my plants if I'm sticking to bottom watering. Should I be mixing liquid fertilizer directly into the water that the plants are sitting in? Does that work well?

Absolutely, you can mix liquid fertilizer in the water for bottom watering! I fill my pots with a few inches of water and add the fertilizer in. Just watch your doses so you don't over-fertilize. It works great for me!

It really doesn't make much difference whether you bottom or top water when using liquid fertilizer. Both methods should give you good results. Just follow the instructions on your fertilizer for the best outcome!

Yes, mixing fertilizer with the water for bottom watering is definitely effective! I've been doing it this way for years and my plants are thriving. If you prefer, slow-release fertilizers can be a great option too, but liquid works just fine if you like that method!

I personally find using powdered fertilizer helps me save money since I have a ton of plants. Liquid is good too, but I find the powder to be more economical overall.
