I recently cleaned out my raised garden bed and found a few chunks of cat poop. After planting some radishes and lettuce, I noticed a few holes dug and I've had to remove another piece of poop. Should I be worried about the cat poop being in the garden, especially since my crops might come into contact with it?

Cats really dislike mothballs, so using them can quickly deter them from coming back to your garden. Just a little sprinkle should do the trick!
Yes, cat poop can carry toxoplasmosis, so it’s wise to be cautious. Always wear gloves when handling it, and wash your hands afterwards. Make sure to wash your veggies as well, just to be extra safe. If you think there could be more poop around, laying down some mulch can help minimize contact between the soil and your plants.
Covering your raised beds with chicken wire is a great idea! It helps keep cats out and is easy to find in 36" or 48" widths. This way, you can protect your plants and avoid any more unwanted surprises.

Thanks for the tip about washing the veggies! I’ll definitely start doing that.
