Is Coconut Coir Good for My Garden Boxes?

I got my hands on about ten big bricks of coconut coir! It looks fantastic and seems like it could be great for improving my garden soil, but I'm a bit skeptical about trusting everything I find online. I wanted to ask for some advice here. Is it safe to add this coir to my garden boxes this year? I'm thinking about mixing it into the soil, but I've read that it might be too salty and could affect nutrient absorption. What do you think?

I've been using coconut coir as a base for my potting soil instead of peat moss, and I absolutely love it! It makes great mulch too. If you're worried, don't fret; it's safe to use!

That's awesome to hear! I have a lot of it, especially when it expands with water! I was hoping it wouldn't mess up my soil. I'm planning on using it for my flower pots as well—thanks for the reassurance!
