Hey everyone! I recently moved into my first house about six weeks ago and I'm really struggling with storage in my small kitchen. I've noticed two corner cabinets with really narrow doors, around 8 to 10 inches wide, which makes it hard to access the deeper storage. One cabinet is kind of stuck in a corner, and while I could try a narrow sliding shelf there, the other cabinet only has a wall on one side. I'm considering cutting into the back of the cupboard to create a second door for easier access to that storage space. My main concerns are whether it would look okay and if I might accidentally cut through any electrical cords that could be behind it. What are some alternatives to make this big space more usable? Thanks!

You might want to think about a lazy Susan for that corner cabinet. It won’t give you full access but it'll definitely make the space more usable than a sliding drawer. It’s a simple solution that could help you reach those hard-to-get items more easily!
Cutting a hole definitely sounds risky, especially with the potential for wires behind it. Maybe try adding some shelves or dividers to those cabinets instead? It might help you organize without needing to cut anything. Just rearranging your stuff a bit can sometimes free up more space!

Thanks for the ideas! I’ll definitely look into adding dividers or shelves first before making any drastic moves.
