I need some advice on removing a wedge from the back of my window frame, highlighted in red in this photo. I'm considering doing it on a table saw, but I'm really concerned about how safe that could be. Would it be better to try another method?

Building an extended fence for your table saw could work if you're careful. Just make sure to use feather boards to keep the pressure steady against the fence. But honestly, if you're worried, the hand plane or even a belt sander are solid alternatives.
Using a hand plane would be a much safer option to get rid of that lip, rather than risking it with a table saw. It gives you more control and reduces the danger of slipping or messing up the cut.
I've done something similar before, cutting a door at quite a height. I built a bow around the fence for stability, which really helped. If you go for the table saw, definitely use a jig to keep things vertical and have an extra set of hands to help out. Just be cautious!
