I'm dealing with a concrete driveway that has sunk over the past two years, creating a potential tripping hazard. Some sections are lifting while others are sinking. I'm considering having it repaired or replaced and I'm particularly curious about foam lifting options. Has anyone here hired a contractor to lift their driveway with foam? How did it turn out? Did it hold up over time, or did you run into similar issues shortly after? I'm trying to figure out if lifting (which costs less) is a worthwhile investment compared to a full replacement (which is more expensive).

From my experience, if you want to lift your driveway, it's better to go with mudjacking instead of foam. Foam lifting is typically a temporary solution, especially if the underlying issues, like poor drainage or bad subgrade, aren't addressed. It might give you a few good years, but you could end up facing the same problem again sooner than you think. Considering the difference in cost, mudjacking might be worth the gamble if you're not ready for a full replacement yet!
Thanks for clarifying! I suspect improper site prep caused some washout, and your insights give me a better sense of the situation.

What's the main problem with foam lifting, though?
