Has anyone here tried injecting Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) into their plants? I'm curious about its effectiveness, especially if it's only good for squash or if it can also be used for other plants like tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, or watermelons. Any insights would be awesome!

Injecting Bt really works best when targeting pests that actually feed on the plant from the inside, like squash vine borers. Since they munch on the vine itself, they get a heavy dose of the Bt when injected. But it doesn't spread through the plant, so it's less effective for others like tomatoes or cucumbers where the pests chew on the leaves. If you want to treat other plants, there are better methods than injecting!

Got it! So if a cantaloupe plant is getting its leaves chewed up, an injection won't help much since the bugs aren't eating inside the vine?
