Is Installing Flooring as a Beginner Really That Tough?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to remove the carpet in my bedrooms and install new flooring instead. I'm considering options that are super easy to install, like the types that just click together. Since I have zero experience with this, I'm curious about how challenging it might be for me to take on this project. Any advice or tips would be really helpful!

I recommend vinyl plank flooring. It's the easiest to work with! Just remember to buy good quality; you don’t want to go too cheap on flooring. Mid-grade options work fine without breaking the bank!

Totally doable! Just make sure to check out some YouTube tutorials—they really break it down. Make sure to have the right tools on hand, and remember: measure twice, cut once! You'll be fine!

I’m feeling motivated to upgrade my old vinyl kitchen floors too! I saw someone lay planks right on top of their old flooring—can you really do that?

You can definitely do this! Just watch some DIY videos before starting. Most click-lock options make it a breeze, and you'll want to avoid the really cheap stuff. Aim for something mid-grade for the best results!

You got this! There are so many great guides on YouTube. I’d recommend going for click-lock flooring; it's super easy. Just a quick tip: order 10% extra materials for any cuts or mistakes. And don’t forget the knee pads; your knees will thank you!
