Is Investing in a Jobsite Fan Worth It?

I received a few gift cards for my birthday and I'm considering getting a jobsite fan. I've heard great reviews about the Dewalt fan, but I'm also a big fan of EGO tools. I'm particularly interested in their oscillating misting fan for outdoor movie nights. As a DIY enthusiast rather than a commercial user, I only have two 1.7Ah Dewalt batteries that came with my drill, but I have more batteries for my EGO tools. I'm leaning towards EGO but would love to hear from anyone who has used both brands! What are your thoughts?

It’s usually a smart move to stick with the brand that has more batteries for you. Since you have more EGO batteries, I'd say go with the EGO fan. Plus, it has both oscillation and misting features, which are pretty rare in jobsite fans!

I work in HVAC, and let me tell you, having a good fan is essential during hot jobs. The EGO fan has a good battery life, especially the larger ones, and it can really help in tough conditions. It’s definitely worth considering if you want something that lasts!

Totally agree! A fan can make a huge difference when working in tight spots during summer. Have you found good deals on them?

I think both fans can be worth it, but your run time is crucial! The Dewalt folks often say it’s great, but if you only have those small batteries, expect to replace them often. If you’re in it for the long haul with EGO, then it seems like a smart choice to stick with their ecosystem—especially if you like misting during outdoor events!

Exactly! If you're planning outdoor movie nights, having misting can totally enhance the experience, especially in the heat.
