Is it a good idea to get two 7.5kWh lithium batteries instead of one 15.5kWh?

I'm thinking about getting a Felicity lithium 7.5kWh battery now and possibly adding another later since I can't afford a single 15.5kWh option right now. Are there any potential drawbacks or concerns with this plan? For context, I have a MUST PH1800 MD: PH18-5248 Pro inverter and 8 Jinko solar panels, each at 580W. The weather here is mostly sunny year-round.

Generally, getting two smaller batteries is a good way to go! If one of them fails, you'll still have some backup power until you can replace it. Just a heads up though, make sure you consider the voltage compatibility because the 7.5kWh units are usually 24V, while the 15.5kWh one is typically 48V. That could be an issue with your inverter setup. Maybe post some specs on your equipment for more tailored advice!

Yeah, I think getting two is better than one any day. If one goes down, you still have the other to keep things running! But just double-check that they're compatible with your inverter and system. Sounds like a solid plan overall!
