Is it a smart move to preorder the new M12 Subcompact Impact Wrench?

I'm really excited about the release of the new M12 Subcompact Impact Wrench and I'm considering preordering it. I've seen that retailers like Acme Tools are already offering pre-orders. Do you think stock will be hard to come by when it launches? I have a feeling I won't find it on sale at Home Depot anytime soon.

Just a quick note on the differences between this new model and the 3/8 Stubby—this one is significantly more compact, making it easier to get into tight spots. However, it does lower the torque a bit; it’s got 225 foot-pounds versus the 550 foot-pounds of the stubby.

I usually wait for discounts or sales to snag tools, but I think pre-ordering might mean paying full price initially. It could take a while before we see any decent deals on it. I’m still waiting for a good price on the new M12 subcompact impact driver myself.

Yeah, I tend to hold off for sales too, but historically, the stubbies rarely go on sale. I wouldn't expect big discounts for this one anytime soon either.
