Is it alright to drill another hole in my garage for ethernet cables?

Hi all! I'm looking for some advice on whether it's okay to drill an additional hole in this bay (here's a [link to the image](https://imgur.com/a/xCyQHDz)). The hole leads into my garage and on the other side, there's a crawlspace under the house. I want to run two terminated ethernet cables through. I'm hesitant to use the next bay over because the rock is solid and untouched. The corner I want to drill was already tampered with when I bought the place.

Have you thought about using the existing holes? If you can cut the connectors off and re-terminate them, it might save you some hassle. Just make sure you do it right so it won’t affect your connection, especially if you’re using Power over Ethernet (POE).

Yeah, one of the cables might fit through, but re-termination can be tricky. If you're using POE, I'd recommend against it unless you're equipped to handle that.

Absolutely, you can drill another hole there! Just make sure to check your measurements and keep it at least 1.5 inches away from any studs to stay code-compliant. You should be good to go with a standard auger bit.
