Hey everyone! So my husband and I recently decided to dive into gardening, despite having zero experience. I was super excited at first, but I've come to realize it's a lot of work! We started planting in early April, and while it was fun at first, I think we may have overwatered at the beginning. Now we're seeing yellowing leaves and some wilting in our plants. Our rose bushes started off beautiful but have quickly lost their charm, with leaves falling off. We're also having issues with our newly planted apple trees—they're curling, showing yellowing, and have some brown spots. I've tried several remedies, like apple cider vinegar traps and neem oil, but things seem to be getting worse. I'm worried my garden soil isn't draining well and am also wondering if I'm just being overly anxious. Is it normal for first-time gardens to face these challenges? Any insights would be appreciated!

It's super common to encounter issues as a newbie. Gardening can be a mix of successes and failures, and that’s all part of the journey! Even experienced gardeners face unanticipated challenges. If you take care of your soil and keep experimenting, you'll see improvements. Consider trying a few easy plants—like radishes or herbs—they can be a great way to get started. You'll be a pro in no time!
You're not alone! Most gardeners hit bumps in their first year. I remember my first tomato plant produced just one tiny tomato! But don't stress—you'll learn what works for you over time. Roses can be tricky because they like specific conditions. If they’re in the wrong soil, they might struggle. It's also helpful to start with some easy-growing plants like herbs to build your confidence! Good luck!
