Is It Crazy to Drill a Hole in Granite Myself?

I'm looking to add an extra hole to the kitchen sink area of my granite countertop. I called a company for the job, and they quoted me over $300 just for one hole! I found a diamond drill bit for around $45, and after watching some tutorial videos, it seems straightforward enough. However, I'm wondering if I'm crazy to attempt this myself or if I should just pay the pros.
