Hey everyone! I have a pretty nice workshop, but it gets really hot in the summer because it's metal-sided. Recently, I noticed my batteries were warm to the touch after a hot day, which got me thinking. I found out I could get a reasonably priced wine fridge that could hold all my batteries. The issue is the temperature—these fridges usually keep things at a max of 60°F, while Dewalt batteries should ideally be stored between 63°F and 77°F. I'm considering adding a small fan to help maintain a higher temperature and reduce humidity. What do you think? Am I overreacting or could this actually work?

Why not try a foam cooler first? It might do the trick without the need for a fancy fridge, but I wonder if it would just end up getting too hot inside anyway.
Honestly, I think your idea is a bit over the top. I've kept my Dewalt batteries in a hot garage for years without any issues. Sure, it gets scorching here, but they’ve held up just fine. It sounds like you're looking for a solution to a problem that might not even exist!
Yeah, I feel you! I've had my batteries in extreme temperatures too, and they've survived. I wouldn’t stress too much about it.
Same here! My batteries have been through the wringer and are still working hard after two decades.
I'd be cautious about condensation in that wine fridge. That could lead to issues with your batteries over time. Have you considered using desiccant packs to manage moisture?
Good point! I was actually thinking of adding a fan or some desiccant in there too. Just trying to avoid losing more batteries this summer.

Haha, I think I might be overthinking this whole thing! But foam coolers could help, even if just temporarily.
