I'm looking for a way to get cool air into a windowless room in my apartment since I can't install an AC unit there. My plan is to position a 10-inch funnel at the output of a window AC and connect it to a 25-foot long, 1-inch wide tube leading into the room. Does anyone think this is a reasonable idea, or am I way off base?

Using a 1-inch diameter tube just isn't practical when it comes to airflow. You're not gonna get much pressure going through, and even if you manage a tight seal, the back pressure could burn out your AC. A bigger tube would be necessary—think at least 5 inches, and even then, efficiency would likely be pretty poor. Some window units are actually designed for venting to other spaces if you need to cool a room without windows.
If you're set on this funnel and tube idea, you'll definitely need some sort of inline fan to boost airflow. And remember, the bigger the tube, the better the results! You could even place fans around the apartment to help distribute the cool air more effectively without using a tube.
Great point! High-velocity fans can help make this setup work better without needing the tube.
I'm not convinced this will work well, unless you're sealing off the vents entirely. Why not just use a couple of box fans positioned strategically to circulate the AC air into that room instead? It might be simpler and more effective.

Totally agree! You could also consider portable AC units that come with exhaust hoses made specifically for venting. Just make sure it can handle the distance; a direct path through a wall would probably work better.
