I'm dealing with a frustrating situation with my contractors. This is the second project I've had with them. The first time, they took five months to finish a new room, coming only once a week to do a little work and then leaving. Now, we're redoing our downstairs bathroom. They came two weeks ago, took the payment, and started tearing things apart. They came back the following week to set the tub, but haven't shown up since. It's really annoying because it feels like we're going to have them in our house for a year at this pace. Right now, we have no bathroom since they ripped everything out and aren't making progress. Is this a normal way for contractors to work?
