I recently had mitered edges done for my bathroom tiles, but I noticed some uneven areas. When I asked my contractor to fix them, he suggested rounding these edges with grout instead. I'm a bit confused about this because it seems like if I paid for mitering, he shouldn't be adding rounding instead. I've read that adding grout could cause adhesion issues. Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this a usual practice?

It's hard to give specific advice without seeing the actual work, but the picture you referenced seems to have some confusion about what mitered edges really are. A miter cut is generally a precise 45-degree angle. If your contractor is trying to just add more grout to fix unevenness, that might not be the best approach, as grout isn’t designed for structural adjustments. Maybe ask him more about what exactly he plans to do and clarify what mitering entails, just to be sure everything aligns with what you expected.
Honestly, I think you might be overreacting a bit. From what I see, the work looks pretty solid. If there are uneven spots, redoing the mitered edges could end up looking worse. If you really don’t like it, maybe asking him to redo everything would be a better option. But I'd weigh the pros and cons before making that call!
