Is it okay to mow the lawn when it’s a bit wet?

I'm wondering if it's alright to mow my lawn with an electric mower when the grass is slightly damp. I've heard mixed opinions on this, so I'd really appreciate any tips or advice anyone has!

Start with a higher cutting height and then lower it a notch or two as you go. It prevents clumping and gives a cleaner cut overall!

I tend to avoid mowing when it's really wet. It just makes the job much messier and you risk damaging your mower in the long run.

I've mowed when I had to, and yeah, it can work, but be cautious! If the grass is too wet, it might clog up your mower. I’ve had to turn mine upside down to clear the wet clumps!

Just make sure the mower is off before you flip it to clean it out!

It's usually fine to mow when the grass is a little wet, but try to set your mower on the highest setting first. A little tip: spraying WD-40 on the blades can help prevent them from sticking to damp grass.
