I'm currently having my house painted by a top-rated company, and given the hefty price tag of around $23k, I want to ensure the job lasts as long as possible. While the painters are away for the weekend, I've noticed a section where I can easily peel the paint off by hand, almost like peeling a sticker, which reveals the wood underneath. It seems like these areas weren't scraped properly during prep, although most of the house looks great. I'm concerned I might mess up their work by peeling it, but I also don't want to leave it in bad shape. I know they might address it when they return, as they've already fixed similar issues without me pointing them out. So, should I go ahead and peel the paint in those spots, or would that be inconsiderate?

As a painter, I'd recommend just talking to them about it—they’re likely to want to fix it anyway. It's common to miss spots when prepping a big house. Honestly, I wouldn't bother peeling it myself.
For $23k, I would expect top-notch work! If something seems off, you should definitely address it. Just sit tight—you're paying enough for them to handle any issues. Don't feel like you need to do their work for them!
Totally agree! If it were me, I'd just let them handle it when they come back.
It might be best to check in with them first. They might not be done with the prep work yet. It's worth asking!
It’s really your call. A good painter wouldn’t paint over any peeling spots they can see. Regularly, some areas can get missed, especially on a large house. If peeling the paint is something you enjoy, go for it! Otherwise, it’s perfectly fine to leave it and just monitor it for now.

Seriously! With that budget, I could take two months off work and still come out ahead if I did it myself!
