I recently ended up buying more plants than I expected, and I'm trying to make do without spending money on decorative pots right now. I've crafted a hanging basket to hold some of these plants directly above my kitchen sink, where they can freely drain. The nursery pots I'm using are black and secure in the basket, so they shouldn't fall out. I'm wondering if they'll be okay without cover pots, considering I can easily check on them to see if they need watering. Is drying out the only concern I should have?

The only potential issue is if you're watering them right in the hanging basket, as that might cause some mess when water drips into it. Otherwise, it’s perfectly fine to use nursery pots. I do the same and keep mine in nursery pots inside decorative ones for style!
