Is it possible to convert an in-swing door to an out-swing door?

Hey folks, I have a small room with a door that swings inward, and I'm curious about flipping it to swing outward so it can sit flush against the outside wall. I'm not ready to tackle a pocket door installation, and I've read that I might need to remove the trim to make this happen. Is it an option for me to mortise the other side of the trim? The side where I want to install it is a bit wider. Any advice would be great—even if it's just to tell me to hire a pro!

It's definitely a tricky project! Taking off the door and flipping it around might seem daunting, but it's better than trying to just flip it without removing everything. Having an extra pair of hands will make it easier since you’ll need to secure it properly while you work. Just be patient, and you'll figure it out!

I can see where you’re coming from, but honestly, you might be biting off more than you can chew. From my experience, it takes some serious skill to get it right. I'd suggest looking for someone with a bit of DIY knowledge to help you out, just to avoid potential pitfalls down the line.
