I've had my Dewalt Inflator for almost 3 years and I've used it about 30-60 times for my tires. Unfortunately, the chuck threads have stripped, and I'm wondering how I can fix this. Would using a quick connect fitting help, or would that not thread properly? I checked the warranty info, which mentions a 3-year limited warranty and says they repair defects due to faulty materials or workmanship. I'm really hoping I don't have to buy a new one, but I'm worried that my situation might not be covered by warranty.

You know, it's strange that they don't sell replacement parts directly. But here’s a tip: you can take it to an industrial hose shop. They can crimp a standard male 1/4 NPT fitting in its place, which allows you to attach any quick connector you prefer. I did this with mine right away to avoid messing up the threads! Check this out: [link to fittings].
Do you have any idea how much that service costs at a hose shop? I heard the tool costs around $105 now, so I'm wondering how it will compare.
I've had a good experience with Dewalt's warranty, so I'd suggest reaching out to them and see what they say about your issue. They might just help you out!

That’s such a smart solution!
