Is it Possible to Use an Angle Grinder to Fix My Concrete Wall Mistake?

Hey everyone! I've been lurking for a while and really appreciate all the wisdom shared here. I've got a concrete wall between my yard and my neighbor's that I've been trying to repair. Water damage made a top corner piece go missing, so I formed a mold with Gorilla tape and filled it with pre-mixed concrete from Home Depot. It was all going fine until the tape flexed, and now I have this bulging mess. I'm wondering if I can use an angle grinder to smooth it out and make everything even. Any advice?

You can definitely use a 4" diamond wheel with your angle grinder to grind the concrete. Just keep in mind that the dust is really harmful, so make sure you wear a P100 respirator or better. It's crucial for your safety!

You’d probably be better off just breaking the corner off and redoing it entirely, using wooden forms this time. It might save you a lot of hassle in the long run!

Yeah, I was lazy. Sigh.

Your description is a bit vague. Without seeing pictures, it's hard to tell if your job was a success or if it was a waste of time. Also, if you decide to grind, I recommend getting some cheap concrete grinding discs online. But seriously, wear protective gear!

Using an angle grinder isn't the best idea. Honestly, it would help if you shared some pictures so we can see what we're dealing with here. It could either be a minor aesthetics issue or something more serious, and visuals would really help!

I tried adding it to my OP. It looks bad.

So ya'll can laugh at me? Heh heh.

I've done some grinding before with my angle grinder and a masonry blade. Just a heads up, it creates a LOT of dust, so a snug-fitting mask and eye protection are a must!
