I'm new to having a basement and I'm considering mounting a TV on the concrete exterior wall. My wife is a bit worried about this, mainly because she fears water intrusion or that it might weaken the foundation. However, we already have things like a water heater and electrical box installed there. I think a few extra holes for the TV shouldn't be too risky, especially since there's an addition on the back side of the house. Am I good to go and start using a hammer drill?

Yeah, you should be good to go! Just check if the wall is made of poured concrete or block. If it's block, be careful near the edges since they can be a bit fragile. You can seal the holes with some sealant once you’ve drilled them for the tap cons. Just avoid using oversized fasteners.
I say go ahead! With the right hardware, you won’t have to worry about leaks or weakening the wall. It’s pretty straightforward!
Go for it! Use 1/4" tapcons; that should be enough for what you're mounting. Four holes is really all you need, and they're small enough that they won't compromise the wall.
Absolutely fine to drill! Lots of stuff is mounted on concrete without issues. Just make sure you use the right anchors for the weight of your TV.

Got it, it's poured concrete!
