Is it safe to eat fruit from a tree after removing a tire?

I recently took a tire off of my fruit tree and I'm curious about how long I should wait before eating the fruit. I want to make sure it's safe to consume after having that tire on there. Any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, it's a bit hard to give a solid answer without knowing how the tire was actually attached to the tree. If it was just resting there, I wouldn't be worried. But if it had chemicals or residue on it, maybe let it sit for a while to be safe.

Good point! It really depends on the context of how the tire was used. Might be best to just wash the fruit thoroughly, too.

I saw a joke saying to wait until the tread marks fade away, but seriously, it might be best to let it sit for a few hours just to be cautious. Always better safe than sorry with that kind of thing!

Haha, yeah, I'll make sure to check for tire tracks before eating!
