My friend left her hostel room with a ceiling fan running on full speed while she's away for 30 days, and nobody can turn it off. The fan is around 5 years old and is a basic 3-blade model, similar to Havells, and as far as we know, it's been working fine with no unusual noises. I'm worried about a few things: 1) Could this ceiling fan potentially cause a fire if it runs non-stop for that long? 2) Is there any real risk in leaving it spinning continuously? I know some people use fans 24/7, especially in hotter climates, but I can't shake off the anxiety about fire hazards.

I’ve had a ceiling fan running for 5 years straight and it's totally fine. There’s really no cause for concern unless the fan had issues to begin with.
Honestly, I doubt it! I run my ceiling fans around the clock with no issues. They've always been reliable for me, so I wouldn't worry too much.
Thanks for easing my mind! I guess I'll just have to trust that it's built for this.
