I just got a new induction oven installed and switched from a gas range that had a standard 120v outlet. While setting everything up, I noticed that the old 120v outlet doesn't have a cover plate. Should I pull the oven back out to cover it, or is it safe to leave it as is?

Honestly, it's just a couple bucks to grab a cover plate. Plus, without it, you're leaving the outlet exposed, which isn’t the best idea. You could end up with grease or dust getting in there, and nobody wants that! Better safe than sorry, right? Might be worth it to pull the oven out just this once and do it right!
I get the hassle of moving the oven again, but it's really not worth it to skip covering that outlet. There’s a slight chance something could get in there and cause trouble. Just a cheap fix and might save you from worrying later!
In terms of safety, it’s not a huge risk, but it’s definitely an unnecessary one. Keeping that outlet uncovered can lead to a mess, especially in the kitchen where there's grease and spills. Best to keep it covered when not in use. Just think about future maintenance too!
