I'm trying to fix my TV, and I need to replace a blown fuse. It's a ceramic fuse rated at T5 0 AH 250V, which I believe means it's for 5 Amperes and 250 Volts. Unfortunately, I can't find the ceramic type anywhere online, but I did come across some glass fuses that seem to fit the specifications. Can I use a glass fuse instead? Does it affect anything really?

You can technically swap a ceramic fuse for a glass one if they have the same specifications, but it's not the best idea. Ceramic fuses are designed to handle higher rupture currents and can put out arcs, which makes them safer in situations where a short circuit might occur. Glass fuses don't have the same protections and can be less reliable in those scenarios. So, while it might work, you're taking a risk with safety.

Thanks for the insight! I wasn't aware of the safety differences. I'll keep looking for the ceramic fuse.
