Hey there! I'm looking for some advice on changing out two ceiling lights in my home. The current bulbs are rated at 10.5W, but I can only find replacements for either 10W or 11W. My partner is worried this might short out the entire house's power. Can anyone clarify if it's safe to make this switch?

You're good to go! Just make sure you stay under the maximum wattage for your fixtures. Most should be rated around 60W or 75W. Switching between 10W, 11W, or even 12W is typically no problem at all.
Honestly, you should be totally fine using either a 10W or 11W bulb. Just to be on the safe side, though, I'd recommend going with the 10W to keep it simple.
No worries here! Standard circuits can handle quite a bit—around 1800 watts intermittently. Just try to keep it under 1500 watts for sustained use. Unless you're packing in tons of bulbs, swapping for a 10W or 11W is very safe!

But keep in mind, these are in-ceiling lights, so heat is a factor. If you want to live life on the edge, you could even try a 12W bulb.
