Is it Safe to Stack Saw Blades Like a Dado Stack?

I've been pondering whether it's possible to stack multiple standard saw blades together to create a makeshift dado stack. I wanted to get some opinions on this idea before trying it out. Am I being reckless here?

Honestly, stacking saw blades like that isn’t a great idea. It's not just about fitting them together—dado blades are specially designed for that job. If something goes wrong, it could end badly. Honestly, just use a proper dado stack or make multiple passes with your regular blade; it’s a lot safer. Keep those fingers intact!

Yeah, and even those YouTubers who try wild stuff generally avoid this. It’s a huge risk.

I totally get the temptation, but there are a lot of design differences between regular blades and dado stacks. They just don’t work the same way. You're better off sticking to the right tool for the job!

I was thinking the same! The teeth would definitely cause issues if they're misaligned. It’s definitely safer to just invest in a proper dado stack. Good call asking before jumping in!

For real! Plus, dado blades are built differently; they don’t just stack perfectly.
