Hey everyone! I'm wondering if it's a good time to transplant my watermelon plants given that daytime temperatures are around 70 degrees. Should I wait for warmer weather before making the move?

Make sure to check the soil temperature too! It can be just as important as the air temp for your watermelons to thrive. If the soil is still cold, you might want to wait a bit longer.
It really depends on your nighttime temperatures. If they're around 60°F (15.6°C) or above, you're good to go! But if it's dropping to about 50°F, you might want to hold off a bit and wait for warmer nights.
I've had success planting watermelons even when it was this warm during the day, as long as the nights aren't freezing. If you’re not worried about frost, I say get those plants in the ground!
