Is it safe to use mirrors in my garden?

I'm really interested in adding some decorative mirrors to my garden, but I'm concerned about whether they pose any fire hazards. I love the look of those window mirrors, but I want to make sure it's safe to use them outdoors.

I’m not sure about the fire risks either, but mirrors can be problematic for birds. Some species, like blackbirds and blue tits, might see their reflection and think it's another bird, leading them to attack it. This could injure them or tire them out. So keep that in mind when placing mirrors in your garden!

Thank you, I had no idea! I'll definitely consider that when I decorate.

I've got a few mirrors in my garden, and I can tell you that if they're flat, they generally won't focus sunlight enough to create a fire hazard. So as long as they're not tilted or angled in a way that concentrates light, you should be good!

Thank you! That's reassuring to know!
