Is it safe to use spray foam around my garage’s electrical conduit?

I'm looking to use Loctite Tite Foam 'Big Gaps' to fill a small hole at the base of my garage wall where the electrical conduit comes in. I can actually see daylight through it, and since it's a detached garage, I want to keep mice out. It's not temperature controlled, and the electrical was installed back in around 1983 by the previous owner, who mentioned that the garage was built at the same time as the cement. Is this a safe choice to make?

If you're concerned about fire safety, I'd recommend looking for a fire-rated foam. It's a good idea to use something like that around electricals. Just regular foam may not cut it. Also, remember that rodents can chew through almost anything, including foam!

Totally agree! They can really be persistent, so maybe add some steel wool or something similar for extra protection.

Yeah, keep that in mind! The fire-rated foam is usually orange if you look for it. Definitely better for safety.

It should be fine to use spray foam for this! Just keep in mind that standard foam isn't exactly rodent-proof, so it might not completely keep mice out. You might want to consider adding some additional barriers too.
