As a mechanic, I find that I prefer the compactness and convenience of M12 tools over the more powerful M18 options. While I know M18 tools are popular for their extended battery life, particularly in construction settings, I appreciate the uniqueness of the M12 battery system and how well these smaller tools fit my needs. I'd love to hear others' thoughts on this! Am I alone in my preference?

Not weird at all! One of the main points of the M12 line is that they’re designed for people who don’t need the heavy-duty power of M18. It’s like opting for a half-ton truck instead of a 3/4-ton diesel. Everyone’s needs are different, and if M12 fits yours better, then go for it!
I agree! Having the M12 for everyday tasks is super convenient, especially in tight spaces.
Totally feel you on that! I’ve got a mix of both, but I mostly reach for my M12 tools for easier handling. Sure, M18's got its power, but the compact size of M12 is a lifesaver for most home projects. I even use the M12 inflator more than its M18 sibling.
That’s true! The difference in size really makes M12 better for DIY projects where weight matters.
Same here! The M12 tools are just so much easier to maneuver around the house.
I think it makes sense! M12 tools can tackle a range of jobs without being bulky. I use M12 for automotive stuff mainly, and I find the smaller size works better in most cases. I only pull out my M18 for heavy-duty tasks. It’s all about finding what fits your work style best!
Exactly! The compactness of M12 really helps when you're working in tight spots.
Couldn’t agree more! I’ve been surprised by how much power these little tools pack.

Great analogy! M12 definitely delivers solid performance without being overkill for lighter tasks.
