Is it too late to plant a climbing star jasmine in a pot?

Hey folks, I'm wondering if it's still a good time to plant a climbing star jasmine in a pot, or if I need to wait until spring. I'm planning on putting it in a large pot to grow up a trellis, but I'm not sure if the current season is too late for this. Any advice?

You can totally plant it now, especially if your area doesn't get too hot. September works well for planting shrubs and climbers because the soil's still warm and the weather's nice. Just keep in mind that we're getting into October, which can be tricky in some southern regions due to climate changes. It's a good time to get it going before winter!

Sounds good! I was just curious if I missed the optimal window and if spring or summer would have been better.

I'm about to plant one too! Just be sure your pot is a good size and keep it in a sheltered spot until it settles in, especially if your area is exposed to harsh winter conditions. That'll help protect it from frost and the worst weather.

Awesome, thanks! What size pot are you using? What do you consider a decent size?
