Hey everyone! Quick question: Is it too late to grab some ranunculus bulbs on sale and plant them if I want flowers this summer? Also, do you get more blooms if you deadhead them, or will they only produce one flower each? Last autumn, I tried growing some, but out of about 30 bulbs, only three survived, and I only ended up with two flowers after months—definitely overwatered and rotted them. I'm thinking of trying again but starting them in individual pots instead of cramming them in a larger pot. Thanks for any advice!

I've had zero luck with ranunculus too! I'm switching to buying them as plants from now on. 😂
Thanks for the reminder; I completely forgot about the corms I planted last autumn. Fingers crossed something comes up soon!
I planted mine in March without soaking them, and most have come up! Maybe it's just luck or a different variety, since this is only my second time growing them.
But I did have one or two survive out of 5-6 in each pot. It could be a coincidence or the supplier. I definitely overwatered before, so that might be why!
Same here! I soaked about 20 bulbs last autumn for a full day before planting, kept them in pots, and they've been in the sun since spring—but none have sprouted. I'm stumped!
