I cleared around 400sqm of my garden late last year and seeded a bit in the late autumn. It didn't turn out great, but I wanted to give it some structure over winter instead of having bare soil. I'm planning to scarify, seed, and add fertilizer this Sunday, but I'm wondering if the weather is warm enough yet. I'm based near Colchester, and the forecast shows that the frosts should be over by then. Is it too early to seed?

If you seed too early, anything you plant later in the season will just catch up anyway. Frost can still surprise you, so I think waiting a few weeks is the best call. You won’t reach your goal faster by rushing things.
I’d personally wait a couple more weeks. It’s warm during the day, but the nights are still pretty chilly and frosty. It's better to be safe than sorry!
I’m kind of in the same boat, and I feel like it’s still a bit too cold and wet where I am. But I did hear that grass is actively growing right now, so maybe there's a window to plant soon?

Definitely keep an eye on the weather! It can be risky, but grass is pretty resilient.
