Hey everyone! I'm currently in the middle of tiling my bathroom and I'm stuck on a grout color decision. We plan on using delorean gray grout for the walls, but I'm considering using white grout just for the chair rail tiles. I've noticed that in photos, gray grout on chair rails tends to stand out in a way that I don't like, especially since the grout lines on those tiles are slightly larger because they're a bit shorter than the subway tiles. Do you think it would look odd to have the chair rail in white while the rest is gray? Have any of you seen something like this before? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

Honestly, I'd recommend sticking to one grout color. Mixing colors can draw attention in a way you might not want. People usually only notice grout when it’s uneven or looks bad. Ideally, the grout should blend into the background so your beautiful tile can shine! But that’s just my take on it.

Totally get that! I noticed that too when I looked at photos of gray grout on chair rails; it seemed to pop way too much. White might help it blend better!
