I'm trying to decide whether to buy the DCG418 grinder or save a bit and get the DCG440 instead, especially since the price difference is only about $20. Can anyone share their thoughts on the benefits of the DCG418 compared to the DCG440?

The DCG418 has some noticeable advantages over the DCG440. It can reach up to 9000 RPM while the 440 is capped at 6500 RPM, which means the 418 can handle tougher materials more efficiently. Plus, the 418 is versatile with wheel sizes, supporting everything from 4.5” to 6” wheels compared to the 440, which only fits 7” wheels. Just keep in mind that larger wheels might drain the battery faster!
Totally agree! I made the mistake of going with the 440 first, but now I actually own both. The extra RPM on the 418 really makes a difference!
