The wall between the house and the garage is already insulated, but the rest of the garage isn't. I live in the Bay Area, so the weather is mostly moderate, with a few weeks of really hot temps (90+ degrees). I've heard mixed things about whether insulation will actually help with those hot summer days. I'm thinking about adding a portable A/C unit for extra relief too. Do you think spending over $1,000 on insulation would make a significant difference, especially since most discussions seem to focus on regions with extreme weather?
