I'm looking to insulate my three-car garage, which has a double and single door. Right now, only the walls that connect to the house are insulated, so about a third of the garage walls are still bare. The area above the single garage door has just a roof with no insulation at all. I'm thinking of installing roll insulation for the remaining walls, but I'm hesitant to insulate the ceiling above the single garage as it's quite high and tough to reach in my two-story home. My question is, will insulating the remaining walls be beneficial even if I don't do the ceiling? Will it make a noticeable difference? Thanks for any insights!

Hey there! If you're mainly trying to control the temperature in your garage, insulating those walls can definitely help, even if the ceiling isn't done. With the gym there, you'll notice a difference in keeping the space more comfortable. That said, if your attic insulation is on the thin side (less than 12 inches), consider adding some there, too. Sometimes sealing around the rimboard can make a big difference as well.
