Is it worth mounting solar panels vertically on east and west walls?

I'm considering installing two 500w solar panels, one on a vertical wall facing east and the other on a vertical wall facing west. Given the constraints I have, I think using one inverter with diodes on both panels might help maximize output in the mornings and evenings. Does this approach make sense, or am I wasting my time?

The effectiveness of your setup really depends on your latitude. At higher latitudes, using bypass diodes can help, but ideally, you'd want separate trackers for each panel due to their differing orientations. If budget isn't an issue, then go for it, but if you're looking for a good return on investment, this might not be the most cost-effective choice.

Gotcha, my latitude is around 43.32. I have a budget inverter that maxes at 500w and thought diodes would prevent one panel from draining the other. I prefer vertical mounts; they seem more resilient against storms and snow.
