Is Kudzu real, and what are some hardy vine alternatives?

I've never come across Kudzu in real life, just in photos. I tried getting some tubers, but nothing grew, and I can't find any seeds. It seems like it doesn't exist in the market either. Are there any other robust vine plants that I could consider instead?

Kudzu isn't sold in stores because it's a super invasive species. If you're in North America, there are plenty of native vines that are healthier options! Just let us know your location for some suggestions.

Honestly, the South is practically flooded with this stuff. It chokes out a lot of the good native plants, so steer clear of it!

If you're not from the South, it's not surprising you haven't seen Kudzu! It's mainly found down there, and it can freeze in colder areas. If you do live in the South, just step outside; it's everywhere if you know what to look for!

Yeah, it's terrible in the South. It really takes over everything!
