I've been digging into layer planting spring bulbs, but most of the info out there talks about doing it in pots. I'm curious if there are any reasons I shouldn't try this technique directly in my garden beds instead. Also, any tips for a beginner would be super helpful!

The main issue with planting bulbs in layers directly in the ground might be the digging involved. You'd have to create a pretty deep hole, but you could achieve a similar look by just planting different bulbs at the same height side by side. Just curious if you’ve thought about this route?

Would it really work to just have them all at the same depth? I assumed each type of bulb needs its own depth for proper growth. But I’m still new to all this gardening stuff!
