Is Lowe’s $299 Deal Prorated In-Store or Online?

Hey everyone, I've been eyeing this $299 deal for a while but don't really need the batteries that come with it. I just want the tool. Can anyone confirm whether the deal is prorated if I buy it in-store, online, or both? Thanks for your help!

I placed an order online (using my laptop, not the app) and when I picked it up, the associate told me I couldn’t return just one item. She said I'd need to bring it all back together because of their 'anti-fraud' policy. This was in Southern California, so their policy could vary by location.

I'm curious if you've had prorated returns before? If the receipt shows prorated items, I don't get why they wouldn't accept just one back. If they wanted to stop prorated returns, they should display the free item differently, like Ace does.

From what I've seen, the deal is definitely prorated online! You can add the tools to your cart and check the adjusted prices. A quick tip: always choose the pricier tool as your secondary option to make the one you want cheaper. If you’re planning to grab two tools, it might get a bit tricky with returns, so just keep that in mind!

I haven't seen the prorated option online or in the app for a while. But I've heard it does work in-store for sure!

I tried this at my local Lowe's and they were strict about returns. They said they needed all items back to complete the return, even though the receipt showed the prorated prices. So it really depends on the store, it can be hit or miss if they accept this method.
