Is M12 Fuel Enough for DIY Projects Like Building a Deck?

Hey everyone, I'm diving into some home DIY projects and considering the Milwaukee M12 Fuel line for the majority of my work. I've got one significant project in mind: building a 200 square foot deck on an existing concrete and stone mix floor. I know the M12 should handle most of my DIY needs, but I'm those wondering if I need to upgrade to M18 for this deck project or if the M12 will suffice. My wife is also interested in pitching in, and she finds the M12 tools to be more manageable due to their lighter weight. I'm looking at several tool package deals available now, comparing the M12 options with M18 alternatives. Should I stick with M12 or opt for M18 for that extra power?

Honestly, if the deck is your only big job, the M12 will be more than enough—especially with the right batteries. I’ve used mine for similar DIY projects, and I didn't have any issues. Plus, you might want to check if there are any local Milwaukee events with discounts before buying. It might save you some cash!

Good point! Just make sure to grab some high-capacity batteries so you won’t be running out of juice mid-project.
